Rapanui's Urbano Uhin got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Amador Hechter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herminio Cristofol in the 29th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Teodosio Totakoxe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Herminio Cristofol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edwardo Haslett in the 44thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gavino Lando, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After having played for 46 minutes, Edwardo Haslett managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rapanui's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edwardo Haslett was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edwardo Haslett to make the kick off. After 57 minutes of play, Rapanui's Enzo Ospin made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gavino Lando was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gavino Lando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edwardo Haslett, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. When the referee ended the match the Rapanui players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
