In the 13th match minute, Gómez FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damaso Froylan to maneuver through the defense. Gómez FC's Luciano Gelmiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Candido Pepillo in the 16th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Candido Pepillo in the 21st minute of play forced Gómez FC's goalkeeper Luciano Gelmiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Candido Pepillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luciano Gelmiro having to interfere. Gustavo Stephen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luciano Gelmiro having to make a save. 34 minutes into the match, Agustin Estebano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Honorio Rivas. Martes FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Agustin Estebano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 43rd minute, Agustin Estebano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gómez FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Honorio Rivas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anastasio Ireno in the 49th minute of play. The Martes FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Gómez FC were winning 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Agustin Estebano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Martes FC booed when Gómez FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damaso Froylan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luciano Gelmiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Candido Pepillo in the 79th minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, Gómez FC's Anastasio Ireno sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Honorio Rivas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Raul Chan hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Luciano Gelmiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Candido Pepillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd match minute, Gómez FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agustin Estebano to maneuver through the defense. Gustavo Stephen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Luciano Gelmiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Gómez FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Gómez FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
