Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Bartolo Duardo started the match with the kick off. Alejo Joey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bartolo Duardo charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bartolo Duardo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Candioti getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Bartolo Duardo hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás Berto in the 7th minute of play forced Candioti's goalkeeper Ricardo Edorta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Patricio Tiniebra kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. In the 16th minute, one of Lomitas:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Lomitas. In the 17th minute there was a penalty for Candioti. Ovidio Elorri stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Leonides Stephen. 0-1. Bartolo Duardo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leonides Stephen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Ricardo Edorta was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tomás Berto showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 28 minute of play. In the 35th minute, Bartolo Duardo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leonides Stephen was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. When Candioti's Alejo Joey in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lomitas's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 43 minutes, Maximiliano Lizbeth managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lomitas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maximiliano Lizbeth was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 44 minutes into the match, Candioti's goal looked a bit too open when Tomás Berto came free, but Ricardo Edorta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th minute Alejo Joey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonides Stephen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomás Berto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Lomitas booed when Candioti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Katia didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 59 minutes, Baltasar Txerran managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lomitas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Baltasar Txerran was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 62nd minute, Bartolo Duardo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Leonides Stephen came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Candioti's Alejo Joey. But to his dismay, Alejo Joey quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. 68 minutes into the match, Lomitas's goalkeeper Leonides Stephen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alejo Joey. In the 69th minute, Christian Iraitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leonides Stephen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartolo Duardo in the 70th minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Lomitas's goalkeeper Leonides Stephen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alejo Joey. With a little luck, Lomitas's Leonides Stephen got control of the ball when Adrian Katia tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 79 played minutes Candioti got a freekick which was hit by Ovidio Elorri. Ricardo Edorta came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Lomitas's Maximiliano Lizbeth. But to his dismay, Maximiliano Lizbeth quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. In the 85th minute, Alejo Joey fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Leonides Stephen, passed just outside the right post. Alejo Joey came free with the goalkeeper in the 89th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Leonides Stephen could save by the left post. Lomitas's Leonides Stephen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bartolo Duardo in the 91st minute of play. Bartolo Duardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Leonides Stephen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96th minute, Candioti's Bartolo Duardo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-4. The Candioti supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Candioti would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
