Ezequiel Iliana could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Alonzo Elixio made a huge save. Ciro Hechter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alejandro Feo having to interfere. In the 11th minute Gabriel Esiquio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alejandro Feo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alejandro Feo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Esiquio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Delmar Vargas in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. When Gabriel Esiquio came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Pibe Atletic fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabriel Esiquio couldn't finish the play. Alejandro Feo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Delmar Vargas in the 23rd minute of the match. A collision led to Pibe Atletic getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Alejandro Bertran hit a great ball. After having played for 38 minutes, Delmar Vargas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pibe Atletic's supporters crossed their fingers, but Delmar Vargas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alonzo Elixio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Cordareo, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Sebastian Aureo's late challenge caught a Pibe Atletic's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After 67 minutes, Amador Presebal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pibe Atletic and the Daireauxa players grew even worse after the yellow card. Daireauxa's Alejandro Feo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Esiquio in the 75th minute of play. 77 minutes into the game, Pibe Atletic's Gabriel Esiquio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot.
