Cochequingán's Bernabe Luke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaudencio Francho in the 48th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Hilario Jago's late challenge caught a Cochequingán's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hilario Jago helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to El mas Mejor getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Hilario Jago hit a great ball. Melquiades Gorosti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Desiderio Araoz in the 81st minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, El mas Mejor's Hilario Jago sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bernabe Luke narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bernabe Luke was a little too slow when Pascual Nel got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 87th minute. The score was now 2-2. The supporters of Cochequingán booed when El mas Mejor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leopoldo Maria didn't get a good kick on the ball. Despite being the better team, Cochequingán failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
