Spectators: 6909 (Terracing: 5309, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 100) Lucila's Carmelo Bonadona started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th match minute, Batel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Haroldo Gaufred to maneuver through the defense. 1-0 became the score in the 9th minute when Paulo Goiz elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Evelio Clis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carmelo Bonadona, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Batel's Evelio Clis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Batel from getting a goal against them. Paulo Goiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evelio Clis having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Carmelo Bonadona hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lucila's Carmelo Bonadona got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lucila's goalkeeper Manuel Cordeara, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Apolo Jeraldo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Manuel Cordeara having to make a save. After 35 played minutes Lucila got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Goiz. An unexpectedly hard shot by Apolo Jeraldo in the 36th minute of play forced Lucila's goalkeeper Manuel Cordeara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Efrain Tanio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Apolo Jeraldo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manuel Cordeara read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Efrain Tanio in the 41st minute of play forced Lucila's goalkeeper Manuel Cordeara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Segundo Roano kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Efrain Tanio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Batel's supporters rose to their feet, but Efrain Tanio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manuel Cordeara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Apolo Jeraldo to make the kick off. Carmelo Bonadona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Paulo Goiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Apolo Jeraldo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Apolo Jeraldo in the 71st minute of play forced Lucila's goalkeeper Manuel Cordeara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 73 minutes into the game, Gustavo Urbes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lucila's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Batel the free kick. Tomas Matxin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manuel Cordeara read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. Segundo Roano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Evelio Clis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 81 minutes, Paulo Goiz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lucila's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo Goiz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Carmelo Bonadona came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Lucila fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carmelo Bonadona couldn't finish the play. Evelio Clis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Goiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Manuel Cordeara made an important save on a dangerous shot by Efrain Tanio in the 88th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Lucila fans cheered their team off the field, for while Batel had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
