Haroldo Christobal kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. 6 minutes into the match, C. A. Independiente's Saturnino Nabar broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 18 minutes into the match, Azopardo's goalkeeper Daniel Odol had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Timoteo Fiz. C. A. Independiente's Gervasio Urbez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Cuarto in the 21st minute of play. With a little luck, Azopardo's Daniel Odol got control of the ball when Timoteo Fiz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gervasio Urbez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Honorio Segio in the 27th minute of the match. After 32 played minutes Azopardo got a freekick which was hit by Haroldo Christobal. Timoteo Fiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Daniel Odol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Timoteo Fiz was extremely unlucky when he, in the 35th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The supporters of C. A. Independiente booed when Azopardo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haroldo Christobal didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Timoteo Fiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When C. A. Independiente's Timoteo Fiz in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. If Timoteo Fiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Timoteo Fiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Desiderio Rayman made in the 77th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Donato Jerano however managed to control. Timoteo Fiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Daniel Odol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Timoteo Fiz managed to get in a good position for a shot. C. A. Independiente's supporters rose to their feet, but Timoteo Fiz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Daniel Odol breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 95 minutes into the match, Azopardo's goal looked a bit too open when Timoteo Fiz came free, but Daniel Odol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
