The supporters of Imperio Académico booed when VdP Necochea FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Apolo Leocadio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in VdP Necochea FC's zone, Humberto Umea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Eutropio came out of the goal and Humberto Umea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Augusto Henriques managed to get in a good position for a shot. Imperio Académico's supporters rose to their feet, but Augusto Henriques was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricardo Eutropio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Filomeno Domiku made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andres Neron in the 28th minute of play. If Humberto Umea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. During the 30th minute of the match Apolo Leocadio completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Apolo Leocadio a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to VdP Necochea FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Apolo Leocadio hit a great ball. A hard shot by Primitivo Blasco from long distance, 32 minutes into the match, got Ricardo Eutropio's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Humberto Umea's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 34thth minute, Ricardo Eutropio skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 36 minutes into the match, VdP Necochea FC's goalkeeper Ricardo Eutropio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Humberto Umea. Laureano Malvin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filomeno Domiku having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Cesar Micael got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Laureano Malvin to strike the kick off in the second half. Humberto Umea might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ricardo Eutropio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Humberto Umea ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Silverio Loren in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ricardo Eutropio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 56th minute, Humberto Umea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Laureano Malvin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Filomeno Domiku tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Humberto Umea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Eutropio having to interfere. After 61 played minutes Imperio Académico got a freekick which was hit by Augusto Henriques. Cesar Micael hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Humberto Umea put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ricardo Eutropio. After 70 played minutes VdP Necochea FC got a freekick which was hit by Cesar Micael. Humberto Umea scored 3-0 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ricardo Eutropio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 74th match minute, VdP Necochea FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orlando Osasun to maneuver through the defense. If Humberto Umea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 77 played minutes VdP Necochea FC got a freekick which was hit by Fabio Adrio. VdP Necochea FC's Ricardo Eutropio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciro Berenguer in the 86th minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, VdP Necochea FC's Laureano Malvin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Filomeno Domiku narrowly saved just below the crossbar. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Imperio Académico had played much better football throughout.
