In the 42nd match minute, MDE-Chelo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arturo Bitxintxo to maneuver through the defense. After the first half MDE-Chelo were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After 53 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Fortuna FC! 58 minutes into the match, Fortuna FC's goalkeeper Basilio Olentzaro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jeronimo Baleren. Isaac Primo might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benigno Oto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Isaac Primo ran back to his position shaking his head. Isaac Primo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benigno Oto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. When Aureliano Pacho came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Fortuna FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aureliano Pacho couldn't finish the play. 66 minutes into the game, Isidro Domeka was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fortuna FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MDE-Chelo the free kick. In the 68th minute, Fabio Xabier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to MDE-Chelo getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Ceferino Jakobe hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Isaac Primo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benigno Oto was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. Basilio Olentzaro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arturo Bitxintxo, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. If Isaac Primo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isaac Primo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Basilio Olentzaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Bitxintxo in the 91st minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, Arturo Bitxintxo notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Fortuna FC's Basilio Olentzaro. Basilio Olentzaro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match was over MDE-Chelo could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Fortuna FC throughout the match.
