Gaspar Gilabert didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Esteve Reyes went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. 25 minutes into the match, Tucumana AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Lleir came free, but Gaspar Gilabert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 27 played minutes Balvanera got a freekick which was hit by Martin Lleir. Martin Lleir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaspar Gilabert having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sebastian Aritza in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gaspar Gilabert saved Tucumana AFC from getting behind. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sebastian Aritza to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Björn Ekberg made a precise shot to the right of Gaspar Gilabert. Tucumana AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. After a rather tough play, Tucumana AFC's Timoteo Nafarroa got a free kick in the 56th minute. Balvanera played a much better game than Tucumana AFC and deserved their victory. The Tucumana AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
