After having played for 3 minutes, Cristian Lesardo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Solano FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Lesardo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Solano FC's Segundo Eliazar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Urti in the 6th minute of play. In the 7th minute of the match, Zeledon Artal tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Santiago Atauri saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 10th minute, Marcial Bernard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristian Lesardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Santiago Atauri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zeledon Artal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcial Bernard's late challenge caught a Solano FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcial Bernard helped the player get up and apologised. Marcial Bernard hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. During the 19th minute of the match Marcial Bernard completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Marcial Bernard a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Solano FC booed when Ensenada F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcial Bernard didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ensenada F.C.'s goalkeeper Santiago Atauri, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Segundo Eliazar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Urti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 28 minutes into the match, Pedro Urti had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Segundo Eliazar. Solano FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pedro Urti was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Eloy Avellaneda kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Zeledon Artal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Santiago Atauri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zeledon Artal might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Santiago Atauri. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zeledon Artal ran back to his position shaking his head. Pedro Urti charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pedro Urti the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Pedro Urti hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Zeledon Artal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santiago Atauri having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 52nd match minute, Ensenada F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelo Viator to maneuver through the defense. Pedro Urti could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Segundo Eliazar made a huge save. With his leg Segundo Eliazar managed to avoid a goal in the 61stth minute, when Ensenada F.C.'s Carmelo Oinatz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Cristian Lesardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Santiago Atauri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Ensenada F.C.'s zone, Zeledon Artal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santiago Atauri came out of the goal and Zeledon Artal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 71st minute Cristian Lesardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santiago Atauri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eloy Avellaneda charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eloy Avellaneda the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 74 played minutes Solano FC got a freekick which was hit by Serafin Romero. Zeledon Artal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Santiago Atauri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristian Lesardo scored 1-1 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Santiago Atauri, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Zeledon Artal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Santiago Atauri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Lesardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Solano FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
