Eleuterio Benvido started the match with the kick off. In the 9th minute, David Banegas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Naranja's Clemente Artaldo got control of the ball when Orlando Eliu tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Eleuterio Benvido in the 18th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Clemente Artaldo kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-1 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. In the 26th minute, Banfield's Teobaldo Seme seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Teobaldo Seme the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Banfield protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Teobaldo Seme had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 25 minutes into the game, one of Banfield:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Tomas Ishmael showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serafin Eliu in the 33rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Everardo Marcones in the 36th minute of play forced Banfield's goalkeeper Tomas Ishmael to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Serafin Eliu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Tomas Ishmael tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomas Ishmael showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Everardo Marcones in the 40th minute of the match. 42 minutes into the match, Everardo Marcones had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tomas Ishmael. Banfield's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Everardo Marcones was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. In the 46th minute, Orlando Eliu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Serafin Eliu in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tomas Ishmael saved Banfield from getting behind. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Serafin Eliu made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Banfield's goalkeeper Tomas Ishmael had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Everardo Marcones. An unexpectedly hard shot by Serafin Eliu in the 57th minute of play forced Banfield's goalkeeper Tomas Ishmael to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by David Banegas during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tomas Ishmael was out of position in the 69 minute of play, and Serafin Eliu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Serafin Eliu really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. In the 74th minute, Dalmacio Abechuco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. David Banegas hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Blas Venceslao recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Serafin Eliu was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 94th minute. Naranja's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When the final whistle went the supporters of Naranja were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Banfield side.
