Spectators: 6627 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1627, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Igor Steven took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 6th minute Dante Celipe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximo Astrada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Steven in the 10th minute of play forced Corrales AFC's goalkeeper Maximo Astrada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pastor Ignazio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Claudio Caniggia made a huge save. If Cornelio Rosalio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Corrales AFC's Maximo Astrada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ariel Martino in the 18th minute of play. 20 minutes into the game, Eustaquio Lop was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Defensores del Comahue's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Corrales AFC the free kick. Cornelio Rosalio might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Claudio Caniggia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cornelio Rosalio ran back to his position shaking his head. After 37 minutes of play, Corrales AFC's Pastor Ignazio made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Claudio Caniggia was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Defensores del Comahue's Igor Steven in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Corrales AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Maximo Astrada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aquilino Tab in the 43rd minute of play. Cornelio Rosalio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Defensores del Comahue's Igor Steven got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Corrales AFC's Maximo Astrada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aquilino Tab in the 54th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, Igor Steven dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Maximo Astrada, 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Tarcisio Tinoco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Corrales AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tarcisio Tinoco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claudio Caniggia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With his leg Maximo Astrada managed to avoid a goal in the 64thth minute, when Defensores del Comahue's Dante Celipe fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aquilino Tab in the 65th minute of play forced Corrales AFC's goalkeeper Maximo Astrada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Dante Celipe could shoot a difficult shot in the 67th minute, which Maximo Astrada however easily saved by the left post. A collision led to Corrales AFC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Haroldo Belmiro hit a great ball. 74 minutes into the game, Tarcisio Tinoco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Claudio Caniggia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Through an outstanding action, after 78 minutes, Maximo Astrada successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Tarcisio Tinoco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudio Caniggia having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tarcisio Tinoco in the 86th minute of play forced Defensores del Comahue's goalkeeper Claudio Caniggia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Haroldo Belmiro kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Corrales AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 91st minute. Penalty! In the 93rd minute there was a penalty for Defensores del Comahue. Patricio Oliviero stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Maximo Astrada. 2-3. Igor Steven received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Maximo Astrada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Defensores del Comahue supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Defensores del Comahue would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
