Fermin Mannie scored 1-0 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Claudio Caniggia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Estrellas FC's Orlando Derwin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Igor Steven in the 9th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Igor Steven in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Orlando Derwin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 13 minutes into the match, Defensores del Comahue's goal looked a bit too open when Prudencio Shepherd came free, but Claudio Caniggia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Generoso Raymon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Claudio Caniggia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Defensores del Comahue getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Dante Celipe hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dante Celipe in the 21st minute of play forced Estrellas FC's goalkeeper Orlando Derwin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute Igor Steven shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orlando Derwin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. During the 36th minute of the match Dante Celipe completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Dante Celipe a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Dante Celipe kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Igor Steven to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Generoso Raymon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Claudio Caniggia. Defensores del Comahue's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Generoso Raymon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. 65 minutes into the match, Prudencio Shepherd notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Defensores del Comahue's Claudio Caniggia. Claudio Caniggia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Estrellas FC booed when Defensores del Comahue was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aquilino Tab didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 70th match minute, Estrellas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hamílton Reis to maneuver through the defense. In the 71st minute, Eustaquio Lop hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Orlando Derwin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Igor Steven in the 77th minute of play. Igor Steven's late challenge caught a Estrellas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Igor Steven helped the player get up and apologised. In the 80th minute, Igor Steven hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcelino Iraunkor during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. It was beautiful to see Estrellas FC's Hamílton Reis in action when he in the 86th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance!
