With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gabriel Hernando prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel Ler in the 14th minute of play forced Atletico Tucuman's goalkeeper Sidney Salois to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edelmiro Amaya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 17 minutes, Felix Isauro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Thiryakos and the Atletico Tucuman players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 17th minute, Felix Isauro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joaquin Jakue recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 21st minute, Vinicio Costante made a precise shot to the right of Sidney Salois. Atletico Tucuman's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Gabriel Hernando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexis Guerrero in the 26th minute of play. In the 32nd minute, João Vítor Toscano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Thiryakos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. In the 37th minute, Vinicio Costante reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sidney Salois. The goal made the score 4-0. Gabriel Hernando showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexis Guerrero in the 42nd minute of the match. In the 42nd minute, Siebe Van Bombergen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 43 minutes, Joaquin Jakue managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atletico Tucuman's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joaquin Jakue was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gabriel Hernando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexis Guerrero in the 46th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alexis Guerrero made a kick off. In the 51st minute Joaquin Jakue shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Hernando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th minute, Paublo Arrillaga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Flavio Cedro hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Abel Ler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sidney Salois having to interfere. Abel Ler kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Epifanio Gorka hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. 82 minutes into the match, Thiryakos's goalkeeper Gabriel Hernando had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alexis Guerrero. After a rather tough play, Thiryakos's Siebe Van Bombergen got a free kick in the 83rd minute. After 84 played minutes, Atletico Tucuman's Edelmiro Amaya shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gabriel Hernando came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Atletico Tucuman reached it. Through an outstanding action, after 92 minutes, Gabriel Hernando successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. A collision led to Thiryakos getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Siebe Van Bombergen hit a great ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Thiryakos fully deserved thier win.
