He was immediately shown a red card. 5 minutes into the game, one of Palermo:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 8 minutes, Insituto's Cristian Bertin got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Nereo Roldanillo. In the 13th minute Matias Nastasio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danilo Toribio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nereo Roldanillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carolo Iratze in the 26th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Jacobo Ledesma took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Nereo Roldanillo to make any attempt to save it. Insituto's Danilo Toribio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matias Nastasio in the 36th minute of play. Matias Nastasio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Danilo Toribio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Palermo's Matias Nastasio in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Insituto's goalie prevented a goal. Matias Nastasio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Matias Nastasio took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Danilo Toribio. Danilo Toribio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Matias Nastasio to strike the kick off in the second half. When Fabian Wozniak fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Palermo's protests and gave Fabian Wozniak a yellow card for diving instead. Nereo Roldanillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carolo Iratze, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Palermo's Eustaquio Barrionuevo got a free kick in the 57th minute. Carolo Iratze blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nereo Roldanillo having to make a save. When Carolo Iratze came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Insituto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carolo Iratze couldn't finish the play. Nereo Roldanillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carolo Iratze, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celso Froylan in the 72nd minute of play forced Palermo's goalkeeper Nereo Roldanillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nereo Roldanillo came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Insituto's Ezequiel Mantzio. But to his dismay, Ezequiel Mantzio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Palermo's Nereo Roldanillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Harriet in the 79th minute of play. Matias Nastasio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danilo Toribio having to interfere. Apolo Crescencio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Danilo Toribio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88th minute, Matias Nastasio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Palermo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. The Insituto support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
