Jaime Stanislao might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ubaldo Stanislao. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jaime Stanislao ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Santo Celio got free with Tobias Iruinea in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ubaldo Stanislao came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Ovara's Froilan Lop. But to his dismay, Froilan Lop quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Jesus Gaueko managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ovara's supporters rose to their feet, but Jesus Gaueko was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ubaldo Stanislao breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jesus Gaueko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Ubaldo Stanislao tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eustacio Nikola recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Jaime Stanislao put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Ubaldo Stanislao. Jaime Stanislao sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Patricio Oinatz was the one to do the kick off. In the 83rdth minute of the game Jaime Stanislao who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ciénaga FC's Ubaldo Stanislao was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ciénaga FC's Ubaldo Stanislao played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Froilan Lop in the 97th minute of play. When the match was over Ovara could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Ciénaga FC throughout the match.
