The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 11 minutes, Americo Peruxu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guañizuil FC and the Paso a Paso players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Americo Quintyn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 13thth minute of the game Igor Raszkiewicz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guañizuil FC's Roman Peruxu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Igor Raszkiewicz in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roman Peruxu saved Guañizuil FC from getting behind. Igor Raszkiewicz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roman Peruxu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. 22 minutes into the game, Igor Raszkiewicz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. In the 45th minute, Guañizuil FC's Horacio Faron dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The wind increased when Americo Peruxu made the kick off in the second half. Roberto Hats took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horacio Faron, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Flavio Nardo's late challenge caught a Guañizuil FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Flavio Nardo helped the player get up and apologised. 84 minutes into the match, Paso a Paso's goal looked a bit too open when Americo Peruxu came free, but Roberto Hats reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Horacio Faron during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Horacio Faron kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Paso a Paso's Edelmiro Min got a free kick in the 91st minute. The Guañizuil FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
