Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benicio Pepillo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cleto Eleder went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Abelardo Silvanito made an important save on a dangerous shot by Armando Papo in the 36th minute. The Tucumanao AFC fans' excitement grew in the 48th match minute when Tucumanao AFC's Cleto Eleder looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Armando Papo might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Abelardo Silvanito. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Armando Papo ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Sandaili in the 72nd minute of play forced Deportivo Asgard's goalkeeper Benicio Pepillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 74 minutes, Armando Papo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Asgard's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armando Papo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
