Cachiyuyu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Bras was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hugo Moreyre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Conrado Acuña took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Bras, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Conrado Acuña made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Elvio Joey sent off a good shot on target. If Hugo Moreyre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 22 played minutes, Garibaldi's Ciro Oto shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Luisito Berdaitz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Garibaldi reached it. Conrado Acuña showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elvio Joey, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 24th minute Tomas Bras shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Conrado Acuña saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Hugo Moreyre sped through Cachiyuyu's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Luisito Berdaitz. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 28th minute of the game. One of Garibaldi:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cachiyuyu:s goal. In the 35th match minute, Garibaldi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elói de Barros to maneuver through the defense. 39 minutes into the game, Elói de Barros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Garibaldi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cachiyuyu the free kick. When Cecilio Tiso came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Garibaldi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cecilio Tiso couldn't finish the play. In the 47th minute, Elói de Barros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Bras made a kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Cachiyuyu's Tomas Bras nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Conrado Acuña made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Conrado Acuña made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Bras in the 59th minute of play. Ciro Oto's late challenge caught a Cachiyuyu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ciro Oto helped the player get up and apologised. In the 62nd match minute, Garibaldi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciro Oto to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th minute, Elói de Barros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Conrado Acuña took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Bras, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cecilio Tiso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luisito Berdaitz having to interfere. Faustino Sabino's late challenge caught a Garibaldi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Faustino Sabino helped the player get up and apologised. In the 72nd match minute, Cachiyuyu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Faustino Sabino to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elvio Joey in the 75th minute of play forced Garibaldi's goalkeeper Conrado Acuña to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Conrado Acuña showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Bras, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Garibaldi's Fernan Montes got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Garibaldi's Ciro Oto shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 82nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Luisito Berdaitz but with some difficulty. Fernan Montes took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luisito Berdaitz. Luisito Berdaitz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. In the 88th minute, Ciro Oto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cecilio Tiso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Luisito Berdaitz made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fernan Montes in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luisito Berdaitz saved Cachiyuyu from getting behind. Fernan Montes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luisito Berdaitz having to make a save. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
