The supporters of Los Gladiadores booed when Capdevila was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carolo Koldo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Cristo Odilon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alfonso Corderun. Capdevila's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristo Odilon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. With an all-out effort, Capdevila's Cosme Henrico threw himself towards the right post 18 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Igor Ferran, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Denis Guib came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Los Gladiadores fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Denis Guib couldn't finish the play. Capdevila's Alfonso Corderun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denis Guib in the 22nd minute of play. 28 minutes into the game, Los Gladiadores's Cristo Odilon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alfonso Corderun made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Domingos Weather kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Cosme Henrico showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Igor Ferran, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 40th match minute, Capdevila was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Igor Ferran to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Denis Guib's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alfonso Corderun was relentless in the 45th minute of the game.

Igor Ferran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cosme Henrico having to interfere. In the 70th match minute, Capdevila was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florentino Esquipula to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Cristo Odilon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alfonso Corderun was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. Denis Guib struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Alfonso Corderun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Gladiadores.
