Victorino Phelipe was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Niceto James got free with Erivaldo da Cunha in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 36th minute Niceto James shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erivaldo da Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the San lorenzo de Almagro defense, Wilfredo Ezkerra kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Victorino Phelipe. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wilfredo Ezkerra was the one to do the kick off. Wilfredo Ezkerra succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-5 in the 69th playminute. San lorenzo de Almagro's Victorino Phelipe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save San lorenzo de Almagro from getting a goal against them. 79 minutes into the match, San lorenzo de Almagro's Lázaro Galo broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 82nd minute, Justino Ur fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over San lorenzo de Almagro's much stronger midfield.
