Spectators: 7047 (Terracing: 5317, Seating: 1630, VIP seats: 100) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ladislao Hegoi took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Nicolas Azibar fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tacoyoj's protests and gave Nicolas Azibar a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Tacoyoj getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Nicolas Azibar hit a great ball. With his leg Fulgencio Giraldo managed to avoid a goal in the 6thth minute, when Gimnasia De Jujuy's Arnoldo Gartzi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Fulgencio Giraldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ladislao Hegoi in the 19th minute of play. Feliciano Pirro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 23 minutes, Nemesio Qwinton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tacoyoj's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nemesio Qwinton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 38th minute, Arnoldo Gartzi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nicolas Azibar might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Herminio Eguerdi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nicolas Azibar ran back to his position shaking his head. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When Nemesio Qwinton came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Tacoyoj fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nemesio Qwinton couldn't finish the play. In the 57th minute, Carlos Santio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bruno Maju charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bruno Maju the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 58 played minutes Gimnasia De Jujuy got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Maju. Nemesio Qwinton who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 63rdth minute tested the skills of Herminio Eguerdi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Herminio Eguerdi was a little too slow when Isaac Lehoi got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 68th minute. The score was now 0-1. Tacoyoj's Melquiades Eron was substituted for Feliciano Pirro. In the 83rd minute, Nemesio Qwinton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Tacoyoj's Valentin Dei got a free kick in the 85th minute. In the 87th minute, Baldomiro Chesus sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Tacoyoj's Fulgencio Giraldo didn't even have to move. 89 minutes into the match, Gimnasia De Jujuy's goalkeeper Herminio Eguerdi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nemesio Qwinton. Tacoyoj's Lucas Prejun shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 92nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Herminio Eguerdi but with some difficulty. Marcial Seme kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. In the 95th minute, Carlos Santio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match was over Tacoyoj could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Gimnasia De Jujuy throughout the match.
