Defensa y Justicia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C.D.Gerli. the free kick. Cesar Ellande hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. When C.D.Gerli.'s Blas Ciano in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Defensa y Justicia's Rogelio Mercurio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blas Ciano in the 28th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Blas Ciano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rogelio Mercurio. Defensa y Justicia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Blas Ciano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Bernardino Ofelio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Rogelio Mercurio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Blas Ciano in the 36th minute of play forced Defensa y Justicia's goalkeeper Rogelio Mercurio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, C.D.Gerli.'s Uriel Eztebe got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Maximiliano Tancredo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Adan Valiente made a huge save. Rogelio Mercurio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardino Ofelio in the 48th minute of the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Blas Ciano was the one to do the kick off. Cesar Ellande kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Bartolo Iraido received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Rogelio Mercurio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee felt a red card was in order, 62 minutes into the game, when Primitivo Jacob put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Defensa y Justicia fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 61st minute. Penalty! Bartolo Iraido walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Rogelio Mercurio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blas Ciano in the 64th minute of play. Rogelio Mercurio was out of position in the 66 minute of play, and Blas Ciano capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Blas Ciano really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. Rogelio Mercurio made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Bernardino Ofelio sent off a good shot on target. In the 72nd match minute, Defensa y Justicia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evelio Ricart to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Blas Ciano in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rogelio Mercurio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The corner led C.D.Gerli.'s Bartolo Iraido to fire away a dangerous shot which Rogelio Mercurio despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 75th minute, Danilo Ipar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 77 minutes of play Defensa y Justicia's Evelio Ricart was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 79th match minute, Defensa y Justicia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evelio Ricart to maneuver through the defense. Defensa y Justicia's Rogelio Mercurio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Defensa y Justicia from getting a goal against them. In the 82nd match minute, C.D.Gerli. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Blas Ciano to maneuver through the defense. When Bernardino Ofelio came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the C.D.Gerli. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernardino Ofelio couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as C.D.Gerli.'s Blas Ciano slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rogelio Mercurio. That made the score 0-5 after 85 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Blas Ciano in the 91st minute of play forced Defensa y Justicia's goalkeeper Rogelio Mercurio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
