Romero's Danilo Abarca got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alfonso Macias's late challenge caught a Piquirenda AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alfonso Macias helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Romero getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Alfonso Macias hit a great ball. Erubiel Jacob, 35 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Danilo Abarca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Romero's zone, Pablo Xabat stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maximiliano Justin came out of the goal and Pablo Xabat tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Danilo Abarca in the 77thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Hilario Caetano, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. From close distance Danilo Abarca pressed in the 0-1 goal high up into nets stiches in the right cross 79 minutes into the game. 83 minutes into the match, Piquirenda AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Faustino Arnalt came free, but Hilario Caetano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maximiliano Justin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Melchor Bras in the 84th minute of play. After 91 minutes of play, Piquirenda AFC's Pablo Xabat made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Maximiliano Justin was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Romero had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
