Alexandre Quintela came out of the goal and Gaspar Eguen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Gaspar Eguen fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Halbide Futbol Club's protests and gave Gaspar Eguen a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Tokonoma FC booed when Halbide Futbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaspar Eguen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tokonoma FC's Amancio Claude got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 21 played minutes Tokonoma FC got a freekick which was hit by Victor Vidal. In the 23rd minute of the match Manfred Käcker sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alexandre Quintela skillfully saved the ball. Gaspar Eguen who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 25thth minute tested the skills of Alexandre Quintela when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tokonoma FC's goalkeeper Alexandre Quintela, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 28th minute, Marcelo Frichoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 36 minutes into the match, Halbide Futbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Amancio Claude came free, but Achille Riese reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 37 minutes, Victor Vidal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tokonoma FC and the Halbide Futbol Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. Victor Vidal kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. After 38 played minutes, Halbide Futbol Club's Guido Lonzo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alexandre Quintela came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Halbide Futbol Club reached it. 40 minutes into the game, Victoriano Gagriel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Halbide Futbol Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tokonoma FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Halbide Futbol Club's Victoriano Gagriel got a free kick in the 40th minute. With his leg Alexandre Quintela managed to avoid a goal in the 44thth minute, when Halbide Futbol Club's Gaspar Eguen fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Victor Vidal got his second yellow card in the match during the 44th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Halbide Futbol Club booed when Tokonoma FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Vidal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Federico Vermudo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When Severo Valiente came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Halbide Futbol Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Severo Valiente couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gaspar Eguen in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alexandre Quintela saved Tokonoma FC from getting behind. Gaspar Eguen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alexandre Quintela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaspar Eguen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 68 minutes, Federico Vermudo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Halbide Futbol Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Federico Vermudo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Severo Valiente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Alexandre Quintela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Arsenio Burni kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Achille Riese. That made the score 0-3 in the 72 minute of play. After 79 played minutes Tokonoma FC got a freekick which was hit by Orlando Kusko. 80 minutes into the match, Halbide Futbol Club's Manfred Käcker sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alexandre Quintela narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Arsenio Burni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Achille Riese having to interfere. When Halbide Futbol Club's Gaspar Eguen in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
