Tomás Erasto was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 8th minute. Cieneguita FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Nicanor Tiadoro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Serafino Rivas in the 12th minute. Omar Patxi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tobias Gamus in the 22nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Cieneguita FC's Isidoro Remicio got a free kick in the 24th minute. 27 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cieneguita FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Marco Calisto was slow to take the kick. During this time Nogoyá FC's players had a chance to rest. Erubiel Bidun made in the 29th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Cieneguita FC's Tobias Hechter. 35 minutes into the match, Cieneguita FC's Serafino Rivas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nicanor Tiadoro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 40 minutes, Serafino Rivas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cieneguita FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Serafino Rivas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Serafino Rivas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicanor Tiadoro having to interfere. When Cieneguita FC's Tomás Erasto in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Nogoyá FC's goalie prevented a goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Serafino Rivas made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Serafino Rivas in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nicanor Tiadoro saved Nogoyá FC from getting behind. 54 minutes into the match, Tomás Erasto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nicanor Tiadoro. Nogoyá FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomás Erasto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Nicanor Tiadoro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serafino Rivas in the 57th minute of play. After 70 minutes, Marco Calisto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nogoyá FC and the Cieneguita FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Cieneguita FC booed when Nogoyá FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Calisto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cieneguita FC's Serafino Rivas got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nicanor Tiadoro came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Cieneguita FC's Tomás Erasto. But to his dismay, Tomás Erasto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. In the 91st minute Serafino Rivas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicanor Tiadoro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Cieneguita FC had played much better football throughout.
