Benjamin Chan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gustaw Wojtyna read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. Serafino Francesco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Gustaw Wojtyna made a huge save. Israel Mendiko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aaron Eufemio having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, FSV Mainz 05's Serafino Francesco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gustaw Wojtyna narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Serafino Francesco in the 19thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gustaw Wojtyna, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Serafino Francesco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Gustaw Wojtyna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Serafino Francesco came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the FSV Mainz 05 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Serafino Francesco couldn't finish the play. If Benjamin Chan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Aaron Eufemio came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Ordoqui 's Cesar Martxelin. But to his dismay, Cesar Martxelin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Nicanor Eneas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aaron Eufemio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cesar Martxelin, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. In the 47th minute Benjamin Chan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustaw Wojtyna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Ordoqui were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Serafino Francesco made a kick off. A collision led to Ordoqui getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Ramon Lorenz hit a great ball. Rogelio Gartzi hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. In the 60th match minute, Ordoqui was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Epifanio Urtsua to maneuver through the defense. Inocencio Beltza's late challenge caught a FSV Mainz 05's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Inocencio Beltza helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 61st minute of the game. One of Ordoqui :s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FSV Mainz 05:s goal. After a rather tough play, Ordoqui 's Rogelio Gartzi got a free kick in the 67th minute. A collision led to Ordoqui getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Rogelio Gartzi hit a great ball. In the 69th minute, a hard, long distance shot from Leonides Telo hit the top of the crossbar and flew over the goal. An unexpected shot in the 73rd minute by Israel Mendiko got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Filiberto Fernado hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Israel Mendiko might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aaron Eufemio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Israel Mendiko ran back to his position shaking his head. Filiberto Fernado was extremely unlucky when he, in the 88th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Filiberto Fernado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aaron Eufemio having to interfere. 93 minutes into the game, Gavino Dacio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FSV Mainz 05's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ordoqui the free kick. A collision led to FSV Mainz 05 getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Gavino Dacio hit a great ball. 98 minutes into the match, Filiberto Fernado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aaron Eufemio. FSV Mainz 05's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Filiberto Fernado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2.
