Dionisio Eguerdi hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. 10 minutes into the match, Edvaldo dos Santos notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Pastillos's Erasmo Calvet. Erasmo Calvet was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Aaron Todor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Crescencio in the 14th minute of play. In the 20th minute Aquilino Pabla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aaron Todor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the game, Aquilino Pabla recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Aaron Todor. Aquilino Pabla showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Crescencio in the 28th minute of play forced Hercules FC's goalkeeper Aaron Todor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edvaldo dos Santos struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Erasmo Calvet didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hercules FC. In the 37th minute, Edvaldo dos Santos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aquilino Pabla's late challenge caught a Hercules FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aquilino Pabla helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Pastillos's Aquilino Pabla got a free kick in the 38th minute. Edvaldo dos Santos took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Erasmo Calvet. Erasmo Calvet dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Crescencio was the one to do the kick off. Erasmo Calvet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brian Rodriguez in the 55th minute of play. Tomas Crescencio scored 2-2 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aaron Todor, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Pastillos getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Tomas Crescencio hit a great ball. 70 minutes into the match, Pastillos's goal looked a bit too open when Edvaldo dos Santos came free, but Erasmo Calvet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erasmo Calvet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edvaldo dos Santos in the 80th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cornelio Lleir got free with Erasmo Calvet in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hercules FC made a substitution. Ermegildo Luke replaced Cornelio Lleir. Benicio Muno kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Hercules FC's Ryszard Tepper shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 90th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Erasmo Calvet but with some difficulty. In the 91st match minute, Pastillos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aristides Banegas to maneuver through the defense. Hercules FC made a substitution. Jeremias Nafarroa replaced Alejo Luken. The supporters of Hercules FC booed when Pastillos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aristides Banegas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th minute of the match Zuberoa Aries sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Erasmo Calvet skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Pastillos's Aquilino Pabla got a free kick in the 95th minute. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
