Spectators: 6959 (Terracing: 5325, Seating: 1632, VIP seats: 2) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Ezequiel Hechter made the kick off which started today's match. 3 minutes into the match, C.A Alumni's goal looked a bit too open when Baldomero Caetano came free, but Arlindo Perez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 5th minute Francisco Guipuzkoa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arlindo Perez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 7 minutes into the match, Club Atlético de Rafaela's goalkeeper Anastasio Piorno had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emanuel Nerio. 10 minutes into the game, Baldomero Caetano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Arlindo Perez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Francisco Guipuzkoa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Luciano Marko managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atlético de Rafaela's supporters rose to their feet, but Luciano Marko was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arlindo Perez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 21 minutes into the match, Francisco Guipuzkoa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arlindo Perez. C.A Alumni's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Francisco Guipuzkoa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. If Francisco Guipuzkoa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgardo Kauldi struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Arlindo Perez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atlético de Rafaela. Francisco Guipuzkoa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 32nd minute, Guillermo Sindo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Francisco Guipuzkoa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arlindo Perez was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Baldomero Caetano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arlindo Perez having to make a save. Ezequiel Hechter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Baldomero Caetano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Baldomero Caetano to make the kick off. A collision led to C.A Alumni getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Fausto Charro hit a great ball. Arlindo Perez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baldomero Caetano in the 54th minute of play. Arlindo Perez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baldomero Caetano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 57th minute, Baldomero Caetano reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Arlindo Perez. The goal made the score 0-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baldomero Caetano got free with Arlindo Perez in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arlindo Perez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baldomero Caetano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Francisco Guipuzkoa came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Club Atlético de Rafaela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco Guipuzkoa couldn't finish the play. Artemio Evarado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Anastasio Piorno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ezequiel Hechter in the 77th minute of the match. Baldomero Caetano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, C.A Alumni's Arlindo Perez got control of the ball when Edgardo Kauldi tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Baldomero Caetano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind C.A Alumni's goalkeeper Arlindo Perez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Francisco Guipuzkoa in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arlindo Perez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Anastasio Piorno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Nerio, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The supporters of Club Atlético de Rafaela booed when C.A Alumni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ezequiel Hechter didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Baldomero Caetano kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Arlindo Perez. That made the score 0-4 in the 96 minute of play.
