Eugenio Quiroga's late challenge caught a Rosario Central's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eugenio Quiroga helped the player get up and apologised. In the 5th minute, Eugenio Quiroga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carmelo Salomon was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 9th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Marcelino Manny managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rosario Central's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcelino Manny was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ariel Steven breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 12 minutes into the match, Rosario Central's goalkeeper Nemesio Ospetsu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Virgilio Ferman. Nemesio Ospetsu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eugenio Quiroga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nemesio Ospetsu made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Aquilino Luzea sent off a good shot on target. Virgilio Ferman came free with the goalkeeper in the 30th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Nemesio Ospetsu could save by the left post. Eugenio Quiroga hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 40th minute of the match, Gustavo Cisco tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Nemesio Ospetsu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 44 minutes into the match, Rosario Central's goal looked a bit too open when Eugenio Quiroga came free, but Nemesio Ospetsu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcelino Manny fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ariel Steven having to interfere.

In the 56th minute, Rosario Central's Marcelino Manny dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. Nemesio Ospetsu came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Colegiales's Aquilino Luzea. But to his dismay, Aquilino Luzea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Felipe Evis hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Marcelino Manny received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Ariel Steven tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rd match minute, Colegiales was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felipe Evis to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Rosario Central's Norberto Haitz got a free kick in the 83rd minute. In the 86th minute Colegiales were awarded a corner. Domingos Vasco went to the cornerflag to take it. Colegiales's Domingos Vasco was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Nemesio Ospetsu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Rosario Central's Nemesio Ospetsu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aquilino Luzea in the 89th minute of play. Nemesio Ospetsu came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Colegiales's Eugenio Quiroga. But to his dismay, Eugenio Quiroga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Nemesio Ospetsu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eugenio Quiroga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nemesio Ospetsu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aquilino Luzea, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Rosario Central players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Colegiales.
