The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 24 played minutes CORDOBA FUTBOL CLUB got a freekick which was hit by Amador Umea. Baltasar Lobo was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Saturnino Olayo. Baltasar Lobo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusebio Cordeiro in the 27th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amador Umea during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Amador Umea hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Santiago Medina struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Baltasar Lobo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atletico Belgrano. Jorge Macario took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristobal Pancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jorge Macario showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristobal Pancho in the 36th minute of the match. Jorge Macario didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristobal Pancho went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Melchor Roland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Macario having to interfere. If Cristobal Pancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Club Atletico Belgrano players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. CORDOBA FUTBOL CLUB were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eusebio Cordeiro was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Belgrano's goalkeeper Jorge Macario had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Amador Umea. A collision led to CORDOBA FUTBOL CLUB getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Amador Umea hit a great ball. After 54 played minutes, Club Atletico Belgrano's Celso Totakoxe shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Baltasar Lobo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Club Atletico Belgrano reached it. Baltasar Lobo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celso Totakoxe in the 55th minute of the match. 64 minutes into the match, Cristobal Pancho notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Club Atletico Belgrano's Jorge Macario. Jorge Macario was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Eusebio Cordeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atletico Belgrano's supporters rose to their feet, but Eusebio Cordeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baltasar Lobo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Melchor Roland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Macario having to interfere. In the 78thth minute of the game Cristobal Pancho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Atletico Belgrano's Jorge Macario was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cristobal Panchos short, quick shot in the 80thth minute got Jorge Macario to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 82 minutes into the game, Eusebio Cordeiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atletico Belgrano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CORDOBA FUTBOL CLUB the free kick. After 82 played minutes Club Atletico Belgrano got a freekick which was hit by Eusebio Cordeiro. Santiago Medina scored 1-3 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Baltasar Lobo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match was over CORDOBA FUTBOL CLUB could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Club Atletico Belgrano throughout the match.
