The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Guido Harkaitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Guillelme in the 4th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Pontevedra FC's Guido Harkaitz threw himself towards the right post 5 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luis Guillelme, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 8th minute Luis Guillelme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guido Harkaitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pontevedra FC's Luis Guillelme got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 12th minute, Iker Eleazar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eduardo Abecia's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 13thth minute, Guido Harkaitz skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Guido Harkaitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Guillelme in the 20th minute of play. Luis Guillelme might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Guido Harkaitz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luis Guillelme ran back to his position shaking his head. Eduardo Abecia who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 24thth minute tested the skills of Guido Harkaitz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 32 minutes into the match, Pontevedra FC's goal looked a bit too open when Godfredo Theobald came free, but Roman Mikolas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guido Harkaitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Guillelme, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Eduardo Abecia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guido Harkaitz acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 39th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Marcial Orlo. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Luis Guillelme put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Guido Harkaitz. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Godfredo Theobald managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mecoyita's supporters rose to their feet, but Godfredo Theobald was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roman Mikolas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Jairo Eleazar kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Pontevedra FC's Roman Mikolas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Pontevedra FC from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luis Guillelme in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guido Harkaitz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 64th minute Eduardo Abecia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guido Harkaitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teobaldo Bonifaco took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 68th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Guido Harkaitz. Mecoyita's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Iker Eleazar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guido Harkaitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eduardo Abecia in the 74th minute of the match. In the 76th match minute, Pontevedra FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugenio Sazon to maneuver through the defense. Eduardo Abecia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Guido Harkaitz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luis Guillelme's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Guido Harkaitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Guillelme, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Eduardo Abecia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Pontevedra FC fully deserved thier win.
