Chaparro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucas Ponc was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 11th minute, cfa's Adan Ralondo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Melquiades Jesco made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Prudencio Ramond sent off a good shot on target. Melquiades Jesco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adan Ralondo, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Prudencio Ramond received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Melquiades Jesco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Melquiades Jesco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adan Ralondo in the 28th minute of the match. In the 31st minute Adan Ralondo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melquiades Jesco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35th minute, Prudencio Ramond ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Melquiades Jesco was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 2-1 became the score in the 46th minute when Lucas Ponc elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lucas Ponc to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Adan Ralondo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Melquiades Jesco was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. Adan Ralondo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Melquiades Jesco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Lucas Ponc could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Lorenzo Neto made a huge save. Apolo Gorbea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 70 minutes into the match, cfa's goal looked a bit too open when Apolo Gorbea came free, but Lorenzo Neto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Apolo Gorbea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adan Ralondo in the 79th minute of play forced Chaparro's goalkeeper Melquiades Jesco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of cfa booed when Chaparro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diego Petrigai didn't get a good kick on the ball. Apolo Gorbea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Lorenzo Neto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luis Leoncio hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Apolo Gorbea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lorenzo Neto having to interfere. If Adan Ralondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Melquiades Jesco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Prudencio Ramond, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
