The supporters of Deportivo Mainque booed when República de Arroyito FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonel Feliu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Mainque. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Cristian Chap managed to get in a good position for a shot. República de Arroyito FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Chap was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Inocencio Dei breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cristian Chap fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inocencio Dei having to interfere. Inocencio Dei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hector Quiroga in the 10th minute of play. In the 20th minute Julio Cordarrel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonel Feliu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Hector Quiroga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Inocencio Dei was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alejo Panfilo during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 47th minute, Alejo Panfilo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hector Quiroga was the one to do the kick off. Inocencio Dei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Chap in the 53rd minute of the match. If Jonas Duardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Jonas Duardo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Leonel Feliu. That made the score 1-1 in the 58 minute of play. Leonel Feliu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Julio Cordarrel went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Inocencio Dei didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Chap went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Deportivo Mainque's Inocencio Dei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hector Quiroga in the 72nd minute of play. Hector Quiroga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 75 minutes into the match, Cristian Chap notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Deportivo Mainque's Inocencio Dei. Inocencio Dei was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 81st minute, Jonas Duardo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cristian Chap sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. Inocencio Dei was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. For all the effort they put into the match, the Deportivo Mainque players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for República de Arroyito FC.
