Julio Cordarrel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Vinicio Berdaitz made a huge save. In the 17th minute Jonas Duardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vinicio Berdaitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Jonas Duardo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Mainque's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonas Duardo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vinicio Berdaitz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Inocencio Dei prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 43 minutes, Julio Cordarrel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deportivo Mainque and the Scuinkles Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. Julio Cordarrel kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Freddy Atarrabi in the 48th minute of play forced Deportivo Mainque's goalkeeper Inocencio Dei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Vinicio Berdaitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonas Duardo in the 73rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Mainque's zone, Freddy Atarrabi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Inocencio Dei came out of the goal and Freddy Atarrabi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Inocencio Dei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aleksander Hejza, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. When the final whistle sounded Scuinkles Club left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Deportivo Mainque.
