Timote FC's Domingo Gelacio got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 30th minute, Adrian Mancio had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. When Faustino Bartolome fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored River Plate's protests and gave Faustino Bartolome a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, River Plate's Faustino Bartolome got a free kick in the 32nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Iker Frascuelo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Timote FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Iker Frascuelo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Godfredo Fix breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Godfredo Fix didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 87th minute, which inside left pole to 1-6. Timote FC were furious when Higinio Sergi was red carded, 92 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests.
