Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Pedro Argenis started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Mirmidones F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Samuel Honesto came free, but Gaston Naike reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Mirmidones F.C's Ignacio Nicholas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Albino Guillelmo. That made the score 1-0 after 4 minutes of play. In the 9th match minute, Mirmidones F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alejandro Erdiano to maneuver through the defense. Pedro Argenis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gaston Naike having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Mirmidones F.C's Clemente Cordarin got a free kick in the 20th minute. Desiderio Dantel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Albino Guillelmo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 27thth minute of the game Ignacio Nicholas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Academia's Albino Guillelmo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Ignacio Nicholas came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Mirmidones F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ignacio Nicholas couldn't finish the play. Academia's Albino Guillelmo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ignacio Nicholas in the 33rd minute of play. Ignacio Nicholas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ignacio Nicholas was the one to do the kick off. Gaston Naike didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Academia. After 57 minutes, Serafin Abeitia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Academia and the Mirmidones F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card.
