The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jose Argoitz during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jose Argoitz hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Lorenzo Mendiko made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aristides Berriotxoa in the 19th minute. In the 25th minute Jose Argoitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Oskarbi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in A.A.TONO.FC's zone, Dante Semeno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lorenzo Mendiko came out of the goal and Dante Semeno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 37 minutes into the match, A.A.TONO.FC's goalkeeper Lorenzo Mendiko had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aristides Berriotxoa. Umberto Vasconcelos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Lorenzo Mendiko made a huge save. When Aristides Berriotxoa was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 43 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Los Viciosos's Aristides Berriotxoa got a free kick in the 44th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gavino Rosario made a kick off. Ovidio Calixto struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Lorenzo Mendiko didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Viciosos. After some careless play in the A.A.TONO.FC defense, Damaso Sein kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lorenzo Mendiko. The A.A.TONO.FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lorenzo Mendiko should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ermegildo Oskarbi got free with Jorge Oskarbi in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ovidio Calixto might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lorenzo Mendiko. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ovidio Calixto ran back to his position shaking his head. Dante Semeno struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. After having played for 71 minutes, Dante Semeno managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Viciosos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dante Semeno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gavino Rosario in the 81st minute of play forced Los Viciosos's goalkeeper Jorge Oskarbi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 91 minutes, Ovidio Calixto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Los Viciosos and the A.A.TONO.FC players grew even worse after the yellow card.
