Julio Piorno could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Melchor Birila made a huge save. In the 7th minute, Froilan Taurino reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Melchor Birila. The goal made the score 1-0. Luján AFC's Melchor Birila played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timoteo Rafe in the 17th minute of play. Luján AFC's Melchor Birila proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Luján AFC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Froilan Taurino in the 21st minute of play forced Luján AFC's goalkeeper Melchor Birila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Luján AFC's goalkeeper Melchor Birila had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julio Piorno. Melchor Birila took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Froilan Taurino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Melchor Birila made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Froilan Taurino in the 30th minute of play. Froilan Taurino scored 2-0 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Melchor Birila, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Froilan Taurino in the 33rd minute of play forced Luján AFC's goalkeeper Melchor Birila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute Froilan Taurino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melchor Birila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The attack was good, but when Froilan Taurino in the 41st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Froilan Taurino made the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes, Froilan Taurino made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Melchor Birila guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Froilan Taurino in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Melchor Birila prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Melchor Birila showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timoteo Rafe, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Julio Piorno took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Melchor Birila. Melchor Birila dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. In the 85th minute, Julio Piorno ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Melchor Birila was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. Julio Piorno's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Melchor Birila read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julio Piorno in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Melchor Birila saved Luján AFC from getting behind. Melchor Birila stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julio Piorno's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Timoteo Primo kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Froilan Taurino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melchor Birila having to interfere. Froilan Taurino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Melchor Birila read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, Luján AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ismael Eliazar came free, but Melchor Birila reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
