Luisito Vellito didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arequito. In the 15th minute Higinio Txanton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luisito Vellito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as dragon FC's Alex Gonçalves slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dante Hotz. That made the score 1-0 after 16 minutes of play. The audience was convinced that Armando Javiero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luisito Vellito was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armando Javiero in the 23rd minute of play forced dragon FC's goalkeeper Luisito Vellito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Raimundo Fanuco during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 23rd match minute, dragon FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raimundo Fanuco to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Arequito's Dante Hotz got control of the ball when Alex Gonçalves tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Camilo Kelemen came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the dragon FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Camilo Kelemen couldn't finish the play. After 31 played minutes Arequito got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Delfino. Dante Hotz made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Alex Gonçalves sent off a good shot on target. After 38 minutes, Leonel Lico mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the dragon FC and the Arequito players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 38th minute, one of dragon FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for dragon FC. In the 41st minute there was a penalty for Arequito. Anibal Serafo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Luisito Vellito. 1-1. Alex Gonçalves in the 45thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dante Hotz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Roberto Delfino fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arequito's protests and gave Roberto Delfino a yellow card for diving instead. After 46 played minutes Arequito got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Delfino. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Armando Javiero to make the kick off. The dragon FC fans' excitement grew in the 58th match minute when dragon FC's Alex Gonçalves looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Camilo Kelemen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. dragon FC's Alex Gonçalves got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Higinio Txanton might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luisito Vellito. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Higinio Txanton ran back to his position shaking his head. Luisito Vellito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Javiero in the 71st minute of the match. A collision led to Arequito getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Rodolfo Etxeberri hit a great ball. If Alex Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Arequito defense, Alex Gonçalves kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Hotz. The Arequito fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Hotz should have stopped the shot. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Arequito's goalkeeper Dante Hotz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Alex Gonçalves's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dante Hotz was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. Dante Hotz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Raimundo Fanuco went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. dragon FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
