An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Mederi in the 11th minute of play forced C.A. Talleres de Cba.'s goalkeeper Clodoveo Gaizko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Homero Simpson during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. C.A. Talleres de Cba. made a substitution. Edelmiro Viviano replaced Nestor Eleazar. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético NiQo!'s Homero Simpson got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 20th minute, Claudio Abajas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Clodoveo Gaizko was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After 26 played minutes Club Atlético NiQo! got a freekick which was hit by Carolo Eufrasio. In the 28th minute, Carolo Eufrasio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Atlético NiQo! fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Clodoveo Gaizko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Mederi in the 38th minute of play. If Gerardo Bermudo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the C.A. Talleres de Cba. defense, Alfredo Mederi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Clodoveo Gaizko. The C.A. Talleres de Cba. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Clodoveo Gaizko should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Carolo Eufrasio made a kick off. In the 53rd minute Alfredo Mederi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clodoveo Gaizko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Clodoveo Gaizko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carolo Eufrasio, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. A collision led to C.A. With a left leg Lucas Fonda saved Club Atlético NiQo! from getting behind. 85 minutes into the game, Club Atlético NiQo!'s Homero Simpson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Clodoveo Gaizko made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. Clodoveo Gaizko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Mederi, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute.
