Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Nestor Peruxu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eustaquio Tartalo in the 52nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Apolo Hechter got free with Nestor Peruxu in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Delmar Saturnin during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nestor Peruxu made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Guido Tebaldo sent off a good shot on target. 88 minutes into the game, Apolo Hechter cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Nestor Peruxu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 92 minutes of play Café Moustache F.C's Delmar Saturnin was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Mayo's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
