In the 18th match minute, AS FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Etxatxu to maneuver through the defense. Ceibal FC's Honorato Escobar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leon Quirce in the 27th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Claudio Mede ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Honorato Escobar was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. If Claudio Mede had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Leon Quirce's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Honorato Escobar was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. Leon Quirce blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Honorato Escobar having to make a save. Leon Quirce struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Honorato Escobar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AS FC. In the 42nd minute, Serafino Sidro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When AS FC's Leon Quirce in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ceibal FC's goalie prevented a goal. Leon Quirce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Honorato Escobar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47th match minute, AS FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reynaldo Mendebal to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leon Quirce was the one to do the kick off. Leon Quirce had several of the Ceibal FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 53 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-2 score and a disappointed Honorato Escobar as he didn't even see the shot coming. Leon Quirce recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moises Cordarrell in the 59th minute of play forced AS FC's goalkeeper Süreyya Kutuner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, AS FC's Claudio Mede got a free kick in the 64th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 75 minutes, Honorato Escobar successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Cleto Artaldo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Honorato Escobar made a huge save. Honorato Escobar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leon Quirce, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. In the 85th minute, Claudio Mede got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 89 minutes into the match, Ceibal FC's goalkeeper Honorato Escobar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leon Quirce. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Reynaldo Mendebal managed to get in a good position for a shot. AS FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Reynaldo Mendebal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Honorato Escobar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A hard shot 91 in the game by Leon Quirce from a close distance when the talented Honorato Escobar managed to make a qualified save. Ceibal FC's players were relieved. Santiago Rolado was shown his second yellow card after 92 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 93rd minute, Santiago Rolado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Delmar Tximitx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
