Linas Steponavičius ran over to the corner to take the kick. Chuck Norris FC's Americo Gonzo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Chuck Norris FC from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Josué Azevedo in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Angel Uhin saved Candelaria from getting behind. Josué Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Angel Uhin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Josué Azevedo in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Angel Uhin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Angel Uhin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Josué Azevedo in the 19th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Josué Azevedo in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Angel Uhin saved Candelaria from getting behind. 21 minutes into the match, Candelaria's goal looked a bit too open when Koos Steffens came free, but Angel Uhin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidro Argoitz in the 23rd minute of play forced Candelaria's goalkeeper Angel Uhin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute of the match Chuck Norris FC got a corner. Candelaria's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Americo Gonzo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Cristian Lluterio scored 2-1 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Americo Gonzo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Maximo Esquipula sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Candelaria's zone, Linas Steponavičius stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Angel Uhin came out of the goal and Linas Steponavičius tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 63 played minutes Chuck Norris FC got a freekick which was hit by Baldomiro Oinaz. A throw-in in the 67th minute of the game was made by Santiago Maldonado with Isidro Argoitz as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After some careless play in the Chuck Norris FC defense, Maximo Esquipula kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Americo Gonzo. The Chuck Norris FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Americo Gonzo should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Linas Steponavičius got free with Angel Uhin in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Angel Uhin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Josué Azevedo in the 77th minute of the match. Josué Azevedo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 78thth minute, Angel Uhin skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 87 minutes into the game, Cristian Lluterio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Candelaria's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chuck Norris FC the free kick. The supporters of Chuck Norris FC booed when Candelaria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Lluterio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Many of Chuck Norris FC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Chuck Norris FC may have spent more time on the ball, but Candelaria were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
