The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Efrain Aztore recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 2nd minute. Freddy Federigo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aguilas FC's Edilberto Scarafia got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 10 minutes, Uriel Refugio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Aguilas FC and the Vampiros Negros players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 10th match minute, Aguilas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Uriel Refugio to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Freddy Federigo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aguilas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Freddy Federigo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ciro Quiroga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Domingo Belo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgardo Estefan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clemente Merexildo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Rene Ezkerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Freddy Federigo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ciro Quiroga. That made the score 2-0 in the 24 minute of play. Freddy Federigo struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Ciro Quiroga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aguilas FC. Domingo Belo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Ciro Quiroga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 34 minutes into the match, Aguilas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Clemente Merexildo came free, but Edgardo Estefan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 37 minutes into the game, Sebastian Ignado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aguilas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vampiros Negros the free kick. In the 37th match minute, Aguilas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastian Ignado to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Aguilas FC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Domingo Belo hit a great ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Efrain Aztore made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingo Belo in the 51st minute of play forced Vampiros Negros's goalkeeper Ciro Quiroga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 52nd minute, Freddy Federigo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Aguilas FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. After having played for 56 minutes, Freddy Federigo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aguilas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Freddy Federigo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edgardo Estefan came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Vampiros Negros's Clemente Merexildo. But to his dismay, Clemente Merexildo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rene Ezkerra in the 61st minute of play forced Vampiros Negros's goalkeeper Ciro Quiroga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Vampiros Negros's zone, Freddy Federigo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ciro Quiroga came out of the goal and Freddy Federigo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 69th minute of the match Cristobal Abechuco sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edgardo Estefan skillfully saved the ball. Edgardo Estefan was out of position in the 70 minute of play, and Efrain Aztore capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Efrain Aztore really showed his touch with that goal: 4-2. Freddy Federigo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reynaldo Jakue charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Reynaldo Jakue the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Aguilas FC booed when Vampiros Negros was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reynaldo Jakue didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Freddy Federigo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Domingo Belo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Lisandro Balendin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aguilas FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
