Pigüé's Fabricio Llorian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ubaldo Osoro in the 44th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vural Arslanoğlu made a kick off. Guzmán's Israel Dalmu was substituted for Ernesto Lando. Guzmán's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gaston Bastia in the 98th minute. The corner led Guzmán's Gaston Bastia to fire away a dangerous shot which Fabricio Llorian despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball.
