Bonifacio Abarca kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 3rdth minute. Though ot was a great shot Verón's keeper Urbano Pere was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Bilulori's Victoriano Justin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sergio Joey in the 5th minute of play. Patricio Lorien was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 8 minutes into the match. In the 8th minute, one of Bilulori:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Bilulori. In the 10th minute there was a penalty for Verón. Vítor Fernandez stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Victoriano Justin. 0-1. Basilio Astudillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Urbano Pere read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. With a little luck, Verón's Urbano Pere got control of the ball when Bonifacio Abarca tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bonifacio Abarca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 26th minute, Haroldo Gorri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpected shot in the 33rd minute by Basilio Astudillo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Bonifacio Abarca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Urbano Pere tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Verón were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sergio Joey made a kick off. In the 51st match minute, Verón was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicasio Barbosa to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sergio Joey got free with Victoriano Justin in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Bilulori booed when Verón was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquin Asur didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abel Mazuste kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Victoriano Justin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vítor Fernandez in the 62nd minute of the match. 69 minutes into the match, Sergio Joey notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Bilulori's Victoriano Justin. Victoriano Justin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 87thth minute of the game Bonifacio Abarca who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Verón's Urbano Pere was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Verón had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
