Martin Precioso might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leonel Venerando. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Martin Precioso ran back to his position shaking his head. Leonel Venerando took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Siro Perico, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Siro Perico in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leonel Venerando prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Evelio Opilano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Leonel Venerando tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 28 minutes, Evelio Opilano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guido's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evelio Opilano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leonel Venerando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Siro Perico, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 32ndth minute of the game Evelio Opilano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sporting FC's Leonel Venerando was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 35th minute Siro Perico shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonel Venerando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 38 minutes, Evelio Opilano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Evelio Opilano couldn't finish the play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Baldomero Karmel was the one to do the kick off. Siro Perico struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Leonel Venerando didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guido. The audience thought a goal was coming when Evelio Opilano got free with Leonel Venerando in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tadeo Berdoi hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Guido's Siro Perico got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Siro Perico was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 59th minute. Guido's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When Siro Perico came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Guido fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Siro Perico couldn't finish the play. If Remigio Figueroa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Evelio Opilano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leonel Venerando having to make a save. In the 72nd minute, Evelio Opilano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Evelio Opilano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonel Venerando having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Guido's Siro Perico slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Leonel Venerando. That made the score 1-2 after 75 minutes of play. Leonel Venerando made an important save on a dangerous shot by Siro Perico in the 92nd minute. 96 minutes into the match, Sporting FC's goalkeeper Leonel Venerando had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Martin Precioso. When the match was over Guido could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sporting FC throughout the match.
