In the 4th minute, Siro Etxeberri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 6 minutes into the match, Eustacio Medina had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Adolfo Santana. C.A. Independiente's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eustacio Medina was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 10th minute of the match Gaston Matxin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Adolfo Santana showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. C.A. Independiente's Raul Nafarroa got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Raul Nafarroa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The C.A. Independiente fans' excitement grew in the 25th match minute when C.A. Independiente's Raul Nafarroa looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Raul Nafarroa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 34 minutes into the match, C.A. Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Eustacio Medina came free, but Adolfo Santana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adolfo Santana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eustacio Medina, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Adolfo Santana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eustacio Medina in the 37th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in C.A. Independiente's zone, Arsenio Dunixi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adolfo Santana came out of the goal and Arsenio Dunixi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eustacio Medina in the 42nd minute of play forced C.A. Independiente's goalkeeper Adolfo Santana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eustacio Medina made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in C.A. Independiente's zone, Arsenio Dunixi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adolfo Santana came out of the goal and Arsenio Dunixi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arsenio Dunixi's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 56thth minute, Adolfo Santana skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. C.A. Independiente's Adolfo Santana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eustacio Medina in the 57th minute of play. Arsenio Dunixi did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-3 to the left of a surprised Adolfo Santana 60 minutes into the match. Through an outstanding action, after 66 minutes, Adolfo Santana successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Adolfo Haritzeder hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Oyolas's Arsenio Dunixi got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 74 minutes, Adolfo Santana successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Arsenio Dunixi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eustacio Medina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Raul Nafarroa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oyolas had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
